Solakrossen is the largest village in Sola municipality, located just east of the region's airport and at the southern end of Hafrsfjord. In Solakrossen, you will find restaurants, shopping opportunities, the municipal town hall and cultural centre, and several attractions. With a new town hall and church in the north of Solakrossen, the area has a beautiful park, and here you will also find the municipality's cultural centre, with a library, concert halls and a youth centre.
Sola is a small village with a big heart
The place scores highly on service and product knowledge. You will find a variety of shops, often outside the large chain stores, where you can find unique items, including yarn, interior design and fashion. The area also has shops selling sports and leisure equipment, flowers and building materials, as well as a wide range of wellness products. If you're feeling peckish, there is a wide range of food on offer, from sushi to traditional Norwegian dishes. The supermarkets and the east side of Krossen also offer fast food, which you can take to the beach or enjoy in the park.
Jordbærtorget at Joa
A stone's throw north of Solakrossen, you will find the well-known Jordbærtorget at Joa, a strawberry market with delicious, local strawberries. In the immediate vicinity, you will also find beautiful hiking areas around Åsen with a rich history.
