Visiting the day trip cabin in Lund, Gauksomhytta, you can enjoy the beautiful place Gauksom in the Sætra area. You can either go back and forth to the cabin or do a roundtrip via Ytre Sandstøl, Laugmannsdalen and then back to Sætra.

This cool cabin even has a library, if you want to read and relax in these amazing surroundings. How to get there: The hike starts at the gravel road at Moi IL’s (sports club) cabin, Sætrahytta. Follow the marked gravel road and the marked hiking trail until you reach the day trip cabin. During the winter, there will be prepared ski runs all the way to the cabin. This skiing trip is suitable for most people! The ski run is steep in the beginning, and levels out as you get closer to the cabin. The area also has unmarked trails, and you can also reach Sandstøl, hiking from Sætra. During the summer, we recommend that you try the marked hiking trail via Kjedleknuden to Ytre Sandstøl. This hike is challenging with steep trails. During the winter there will be prepared ski runs over Einarvann (a lake) to Ytre Sandstøl. Going back, follow the ski run via Laugmannsdalen to Sætra.
