The race features a beautiful and varied route from the coastal town of Egersund in the south to the cycling city of Sandnes in the north, offering two different distances:
- 87 km – from Egersund to Sandnes
- 40 km – from Nærbø to Sandnes
The course takes you through a stunning landscape of forests, varied terrain, and open coastal rocks. You will cycle along sections of the North Sea Road (Nordsjøveien), across the historic Western Main Highway (Den Vestlandske Hovedveg), and on the historic King's Road (Kongevegen) – right in the heart of the raw nature of Jæren. In addition to these, we also offer a Family Race, a 13 km ride from Stavanger to Sandnes along the main bicycle highway (Sykkelstamvegen).
Nordsjørittet is truly for everyone, regardless of what bike you ride, and you choose your own pace and ambition level. Safety is always our top priority, and immense effort goes into ensuring you feel safe on the course, focusing on quality at every stage for each individual participant.
