Getting to & around

Several of the airports in the region, such as Bergen, Stavanger and Ålesund, operate a good network of international services. There are also several smaller airports with a few, direct international flights as well as good connections to and from Oslo and other big cities in Norway. If you are travelling from the continent, you can also take the ferries from Denmark or Germany.

There are direct flights from many of the large and medium-sized cities in Europe. It’s easy to get here from cities such as Munich, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and London. There are also frequent, good connections from Oslo and on to the Fjord Norway region.

It is both good for the environment and easy to travel by train to Voss, Bergen, Stavanger, Flåm and Åndalsnes - all excellent bases for adventure in the fjord landscape.
