Explore Sunnhordland from the sea

Arriving in Sunnhordland by sea is an experience in itself. Cruise between islands and skerries, through narrow straits and wide fjords, before finding your peace in one of the region’s many guest harbours. Whether you are looking for modern facilities in a lively town or a quiet evening in a sheltered marina with only the sound of seagulls, there is a place for both you and your boat.

You don’t need your own boat to experience it. Many guest harbours are located close to ferry terminals, express boat routes and good bus connections, making it easy to arrive from land and enjoy life by the water.

Can you visit guest harbours without a boat?

Yes, guest harbours in Sunnhordland are open to everyone and are often located in or close to village centres. You can easily stop by by car to experience the harbour atmosphere, take a walk along the waterfront, or enjoy a meal at a café or restaurant by the quay.
